Haworth, Sir Walter Norman

Pronunciation: /ˈhaʊwəθ/
(1883–1950), English organic chemist. He was a pioneer in carbohydrate chemistry and was the first person to make a vitamin artificially when he synthesized vitamin C. Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1937).
