Henze, Hans Werner

Pronunciation: /ˈhɛntsə/
(1926–2012), German composer and conductor. His diverse works are influenced by serialism, classical composers, and Italian opera, and sometimes reflect his left-wing ideals, as in The Raft of the Medusa (1968) (a requiem for Che Guevara).
