Hevesy, George Charles de

Pronunciation: /ˈhɛvəʃi/
(1885–1966), Hungarian-born radiochemist. He studied radioisotopes and invented the technique of labelling with isotopic tracers. Hevesy was also co-discoverer of the element hafnium (1923). Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1943).
