A Japanese conifer with evergreen scale-like leaves which form flattened sprays of foliage, widely planted as an ornamental and yielding durable timber.
- Thujopsis dolabrata, family Cupressaceae.
- Similar to the thujas are Oriental Thuja, most easily recognised by its odd knobbly cones and Hiba, a striking tree with very broad rather plastic-looking foliage.
