Hogg, James

Pronunciation: /hɒɡ/
(1770–1835), Scottish poet. A shepherd in the Ettrick Forest whose talent was discovered by Sir Walter Scott, he is best known today for his prose work The Confessions of a Justified Sinner (1824).
