Honegger, Arthur

/ɔnɛɡɛʀ/
(1892–1955), French composer, of Swiss descent. He lived and worked chiefly in Paris, where he became a member of the anti-romantic group Les Six. His first major success was the orchestral work Pacific 231 (1924).
