Kundera, Milan

(B.1929), Czech novelist. He emigrated to France in 1975 after his books were banned in Czechoslovakia following the Soviet military invasion of 1968. Notable works: The Book of Laughter and Forgetting (1979) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1984).
