Langton, Stephen

Pronunciation: /ˈlaŋtən/
(Circa 1150–1228), English churchman, Archbishop of Canterbury 1207–15 and 1218–28. A champion of the English Church, he was involved in the negotiations leading to the signing of Magna Carta.
