McCartney, Sir Paul

Pronunciation: /məˈkɑːtni/
(B.1942), English pop and rock singer, songwriter, and bass guitarist; full name Sir James Paul McCartney. A founder member of the Beatles, he wrote most of their songs in collaboration with John Lennon. After the group broke up in 1970 he formed the band Wings.
