Millais, Sir John Everett

Pronunciation: /ˈmɪleɪ/
(1829–96), English painter. A founder member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, he went on to produce lavishly painted portraits and landscapes. Notable works: Christ in the House of his Parents (1850) and Bubbles (1886).
