An Australian flowerpecker that feeds mainly on mistletoe berries, the male of which has a bright red breast.
- Dicaeum hirundinaceum, family Dicaeidae. Alternative name: mistletoe flowerpecker.
- We saw a grey fantail spreading its tail, a leaden flycatcher wagging its tail, a pair of rufous whistlers, and a pair of mistletoebirds.
- Female and male Mistletoebirds do not look similar.
- The female Mistletoebird builds the nest by herself with no help from the male.
