A small white-flowered creeping chickweed with soft hairy leaves which supposedly resemble the ears of mice.

- Mouse ear chickweed has white flowers while Anagallis arvensis has blue or red flowers.
- Common mouse-ear is a short-lived perennial, native in grassland and in open cultivated and waste ground.
