Neman

Pronunciation: /ˈnɛmən/
A river of eastern Europe, which rises south of Minsk in Belarus and flows 955 km (597 miles) west and north to the Baltic Sea. Its lower course, which forms the boundary between Lithuania and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, is called the Memel. Lithuanian name Nemunas; Belorussian name Nyoman.
