Nostradamus

/ˌnɒstrəˈdeɪməs/
(1503–66), French astrologer and physician; Latinized name of Michel de Nostredame. His cryptic and apocalyptic predictions in rhyming quatrains appeared in two collections (1555; 1558). Their interpretation continues to be the subject of controversy.
