A lightly built toothless bipedal dinosaur of the late Cretaceous period, adapted for running and somewhat resembling an ostrich. Also called ornithomimosaur.
  • Infraorder Ornithomimisauria, suborder Theropoda, order Saurischia: several genera, including Gallimimus, Ornithomimus, and Struthiomimus
