Pagnol, Marcel

Pronunciation: /paˈnjɒl/
(1895–1974), French playwright, film director, and writer. As a director Pagnol is best known for the humorous film trilogy Marius (1931), Fanny (1932), and César (1936). His novels include La Gloire de mon père (1957) and Le Chateau de ma mère (1958).
