Paolozzi, Eduardo

(1924–2005), Scottish artist and sculptor, of Italian descent; full name Sir Eduardo Luigi Paolozzi. He was a key figure in the development of pop art in Britain in the 1950s. His work is typified by mechanistic sculptures in a figurative style, often surfaced with cogwheels and machine parts.
