Perrault, Charles

(1628–1703), French writer. He is remembered for his Mother Goose Tales (1697), containing such fairy tales as ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Puss in Boots’, and ‘Cinderella’.
