Poincaré, Jules-Henri

Pronunciation: /ˈpwãkareɪ/
/pwɛ̃kaʀe/
(1854–1912), French mathematician and philosopher of science, who transformed celestial mechanics and was one of the pioneers of algebraic topology. He proposed a relativistic philosophy which implied the absolute velocity of light, which nothing could exceed.
