Temple, Shirley

Pronunciation: /ˈtɛmp(ə)l/
(1928–2014), American child star; latterly Shirley Temple Black. In the 1930s she appeared in a succession of films, such as Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1938). She later became active in Republican politics and represented the US at the United Nations and as an ambassador.
