Tinbergen, Jan

Pronunciation: /ˈtɪnbəːɡ(ə)n/
(1903–94), Dutch economist. He shared the first Nobel Prize for Economics (1969) with Ragnar Frisch for his pioneering work on econometrics. He was the brother of the zoologist Nikolaas Tinbergen.
