Trollope, Anthony

Pronunciation: /ˈtrɒləp/
(1815–82), English novelist. He is best known for the six ‘Barsetshire’ novels, including Barchester Towers (1857), and for the six political ‘Palliser’ novels. He also worked for the General Post Office 1834–67 and introduced the pillar box to Britain.
