Veronese, Paolo

/ˌvɛrəˈneɪzi/
(Circa 1528–88), Italian painter; born Paolo Caliari. He is particularly known for his richly coloured feast scenes (for example The Marriage at Cana, 1562) and for his frescoes in the Doges' Palace in Venice.
