Wright, Frank Lloyd

(1867–1959), American architect. His ‘prairie-style’ houses revolutionized American domestic architecture. Notable buildings include the Kaufmann House, which incorporated a waterfall, in Pennsylvania (1935-9) and the Guggenheim Museum of Art in New York (1956-9).
