This page provides answers to common questions about paying for Oxford Dictionaries subscriptions.


How much is a subscription to Oxford Dictionaries?

I don’t have a PayPal account – how do I pay?

We currently offer subscriptions only via PayPal. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can easily create one. We plan to offer additional payment options in the future.


How do I know whether my payment has gone through?

You will receive an email from PayPal to confirm all the details of your payment. If you can’t see the email, please check your junk / spam folder. If you aren’t sure that your payment has gone through, log into your PayPal account to see payments from your account. 

If you’re having trouble with payment with PayPal you could check the following:

  • Your PayPal account must be linked to a valid credit or debit card
  • Your PayPal account must be verified to enable recurring payments

My payment has gone through but I can’t see my content, or I’m still being asked to log in.

If this happens, refresh your web page (using your browser’s refresh button, or F5). You should now be able to see your name displayed in the top right corner, instead of a subscribe link.


When is my next billing date?

You can see this on your account page under ‘Your subscription’.
