  • 4 (posture) وَضْع (plural: أَوْضاع), وَضْعيّة to be in a sitting/kneeling position كانَ في وَضْعيّةِ جُلوسٍ \ رُكوعٍ
  • 5 (of a lever, switch) وَضْع (plural: أَوْضاع)
  • 6 (in a ranking) مَرْتَبة (plural: مَراتِبُ) to be in third position كانَ في المَرْتَبةِ الثالِثةِ
  • 7 (job) وَظيفة (plural: وَظائِفُ), مَنْصِب (plural: مَناصِبُ) to hold or occupy a senior position شَغَلَ مَنْصِباً عالِياً the position of chief accountant مَنْصِب رَئيسِ المُحاسِبينَ
  • 8 (in a team) مَرْكَز (plural: مَراكِزُ), خُطّة (plural: خُطَط) (Tunisia/تونس) what position does he play? في أَيِّ مَرْكَزٍ يَلْعَبُ؟
  • 10 (counter) شُبّاك (plural: شَبابيكُ) ‘position closed’ الشُبّاكُ مُغْلَقٌ
