When used to modify an adjective or an adverb to form the comparative more is very often translated by plus: more expensive = plus cher/chère; more beautiful = plus beau/belle; more easily = plus facilement; more regularly = plus régulièrement. For examples and further uses see more 1 1below.When used as a quantifier to indicate a greater amount or quantity of something more is very often translated by plus de: more money/cars/people = plus d'argent/de voitures/de gens.
