Definition of Davisson, Clinton in English:

( 1881–1958), US physicist; full name Clinton Joseph Davisson. With L. H. Germer ( 1896–1971), he discovered electron diffraction, thus confirming de Broglie’s theory of the wave nature of electrons. He shared the 1937 Nobel Prize for Physics with George P. Thomson (1892–1975).
