( 1907–2003), US actress; full name Katharine Houghton Hepburn. Making her screen debut in 1932, she starred in a wide range of movies, often opposite Spencer Tracy. She won Academy Awards for her lead roles in Morning Glory (1933), Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967), The Lion in Winter (1968), and On Golden Pond (1981).
