( 1931–99), British composer, singer, and actor. He played the Artful Dodger in the movie version of Oliver Twist (1948) and cowrote and starred in the Broadway musicals Stop the World—I Want to Get Off (1961) and The Roar of the Greasepaint—The Smell of the Crowd (1965).
