( 1931–90), Indian guru; born Chandra Mohan Jain; known as the Bhagwan (Sanskrit, “lord”). He founded an ashram in Pune, India, and a commune in Oregon and preached his doctrine of communal therapy and salvation through free love. He was deported from the US in 1985 for immigration violations.
