(1935-), US movie director, writer, and actor; born Allen Stewart Konigsberg. He has starred in most of his over 40 movies, many of which humorously explore themes of neuroses and sexual inadequacy. Notable movies: Bananas (1971), Sleeper (1973), Annie Hall (1977), Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), and Midnight in Paris (2011).
