Cagney, James

Pronunciation: /ˈkaɡnē/
(1899–1986), US actor. He is noted for playing gangster roles in movies such as The Public Enemy (1931) and Angels with Dirty Faces (1938). He was also a skilled dancer and comedian who received an Academy Award for his lead role in the musical Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942).
