Corinth

Pronunciation: /ˈkôrənTH/
A city on the northern coast of the Peloponnese, in Greece; population 27,600 (est. 2009). The modern city, built in 1858, is slightly northeast of the site of an ancient city of the same name that was a prominent city state in ancient Greece. Greek name Kórinthos.
