A small Old World warbler with streaked plumage and a stubby boldly marked tail.
- Genus Cisticola, family Sylviidae: several species, in particular C. juncidis, found from western Europe to Australia. See also cisticola.
- Fan-tailed Warblers were constantly vocal in the scrub behind the beach and Serins and Sardinian Warblers were common throughout the resort.
- In the farmland, you should also get Fan-tailed Warblers also known - much more memorably - as the Zitting Cisticola. Listen out for its ‘zit.’
