A small piece of flint that is used to ignite the gunpowder in a flintlock gun.
- There's a pub there, close both to the huge Neolithic mines of Grime's Graves and the Lingheath pits that supplied gunflints to army, navy and buccaneers, called The Flint Knappers.
- Eight gunflints were recovered from the site.
- Sancerre is different, too, in that it combines its fruit flavours with minerals, gunflint and chalk, enabling it to be drunk on its own or with food.
