Lytton, 1st Baron

Pronunciation: /ˈlitn/
(1803–73), British novelist, playwright, and statesman; born Edward George Earle Bulwer-Lytton. He wrote Pelham (1828), a novel of fashionable society, and also wrote historical romances, such as The Last Days of Pompeii (1834), and plays.
