Milhaud, Darius

Pronunciation: /mēˈ(y)ō/
(1892–1974), French composer. A member of the group Les Six, he composed the music to Cocteau’s ballet Le Boeuf sur le toit (1919). Much of his music was polytonal and influenced by jazz.
