Moynihan, Daniel Patrick

Pronunciation: /ˈmoi-nəˌhan/
(1927–2003), US politician and educator. He taught at various colleges before serving in the US senate 1977–2001 as a Democrat from New York. He wrote The Negro Family: The Case for National Action (1965).
