Nostradamus

Pronunciation: /ˌnôstrəˈdäməs/ /ˌnästrəˈdāməs/
(1503–66), French astrologer and physician; Latinized name of Michel de Nostredame. His cryptic and apocalyptic predictions in rhyming quatrains appeared in two collections, in 1555 and 1558, and their interpretation continues to be the subject of controversy.
