Nuremberg

Pronunciation: /ˈn(y)o͝orəmˌbərɡ/
A city in southern Germany, in Bavaria; population 500,900 (est. 2006). During the 1930s, Nazi Party congresses and annual rallies were held here, and in 1945–46 it was the site of the Nuremberg war trials, in which Nazi war criminals were tried by an international military tribunal. German name Nürnberg.
