Perkins, Carl

Pronunciation: /ˈpərkinz/
(1932–98), US singer and songwriter. A rockabilly artist, he wrote and recorded “Blue Suede Shoes” (1955), which became his first big hit. His albums include Matchbox (1977) and Go, Cat, Go (1993).
