Ramayana

Pronunciation: /ˌrämīˈänə/ /rəˈmīənə/
One of the two great Sanskrit epics of the Hindus, composed circa 300 bc. It describes how Rama, aided by his brother and the monkey king Hanuman, rescued his wife Sita from Ravana, the ten-headed demon king of Lanka.
