An Indian sweet consisting of a ball of paneer (curd cheese) cooked in syrup.
- Milk is also used as a sweetmeat ingredient, especially for sandesh and rasgullas, in the form of fresh curd cheese (chhenna).
- The preference list charts out varieties of perishable items - flower baskets, bouquets, rasgullas, cashews, walnuts and raisins.
- Or they would come and whip up a magical meal ranging from kathi kebabs to a main meal of meats and vegetables, right down to rasmalai and rasgulla.
From Hindi rasgullā, from ras 'juice' + gullā 'ball'.
