A yellow-flowered stonecrop whose roots smell of roses when dried or bruised, native to north temperate regions.
- Rhodiola rosea, family Crassulaceae.
- Stonecrops are now largely forgotten as a vegetable, although roseroot, S. rosea, a northern species, has continued to be a salad vegetable of value in the regions where it grows.
