Saint-Saëns, Camille

(1835–1921), French composer, pianist, and organist; full name Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns. He is best known for Danse macabre (1874), the opera Samson and Delila (1877), and his third symphony and Carnaval des animaux (both 1886).
