Sarto, Andrea del

Pronunciation: /ˈsärtō/
(1486–1531), Italian painter; born Andrea d’Agnolo. He worked chiefly in Florence, where his works include fresco cycles in the church of Santa Annunziata and the series of grisailles in the cloister of the Scalzi (1511–26).
