Tierra del Fuego

Pronunciation: /tēˌerə del ˈfwāɡō/
An island off the southern tip of South America, separated from the mainland by the Strait of Magellan. Discovered by Ferdinand Magellan in 1520, it is now divided between Argentina and Chile.

Spanish, literally 'land of fire'.
