Pronunciation: /ˈtinˌberɡə(n)/
(1903–94), Dutch economist. A pioneer in econometrics, he was the brother of zoologist Nikolaas Tinbergen. Nobel Prize for Economics (1969), shared with Ragnar Frisch.
