Turner, Frederick Jackson

Pronunciation: /ˈtərnər/
(1861–1932), US historian, educator, and writer. He revolutionized the study of the American frontier with his paper entitled “The Significance of the Frontier in American History” (1893). He also wrote The Frontier in American History (1920) and The Significance of Sections in American History (1932).
